In my opinion the Japanese Population is living in a out dated time.
They were raised on generations of history dating back even before the 1800's that they still believe at heart is acceptable to do these things that they do.
It may be a antique way of life....But for one of the most Technologically Advanced countries they clearly know and understand that what they are doing not only angers the entire world just like Faroe Island does,
But they also clearly exhibit the need to continuously LIE to us.
They claim research yet I myself downloaded a PDF from the Institute of Cetacean Research that states clearly they will anonymously send a price list for small cut whale meat...
Now I can only ask this in stating that....
What givers them the right and authority to blatantly lie to the entire world and they treat us Whale and Aquatic Warriors like were the bad guys....
NO.
We state clearly what our intent is,
We clearly state we will not FALTER, So How are we the monsters?
We aren't the nation lying to the world so we can have a rare delicacy THAT IS NOT EVEN MEANT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
They are cruel to these creatures and I honestly believe that they are even show signs of racism to anyone that's not Japanese....
They clearly do this mocking and laughing from the decks of their ships...
Why are we not trying to determine if there are alternative motives for them to continue to treat these animals and us Activists in this manner.
Its asinine to believe these lies any longer....If its not a racist motive,
Then what else could it be? Sport? To anger the world intentionally?
To show the world that they believe they have the right to commit any immoral crime? None of that really even matters...

I think it is a tradition,

I much admire japanese culture and think the best of it,
I could LIVE in japan,

so I think once you people get started in putting an end to this horrors, they are meant to stop,
it is just a matter of getting people started within Japan.
Japanese need no help to get things done within japan and japanese matters....
I hope mypoint of vierw comes out well across, you see, I do admire much japanes culture, I had a friend who was a diplomat there for over 8 years and when I was invited IT WAS A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE!!! The Japanese dolphin drive hunt in Taiji has olny 45 years of history,
unlike the Japanese government has been claiming it as "the Japanese
Tradition". The method of killing dolphins are inhumane and there are
no concerning about the welfare of dolphins as they just kill or sell to
the aquariums and unwanted baby dolphins are dumped without their family
which means there's no hope for them to survive.
There has no law to protect the walfare of marine mamals in Japan!
It has to be more regulated by the international law.
We don't want such inhumane dolphin drive hunt as the Japanese
tradition nor culture. That's only continuing with the government's greed!
We must stop that!

Please STOP and do NOT build a Dolphin Zoo in Taji. Even though I don't agree with it, it is standard practice here in Hawaii to offer both LAND and SEA (by boat) tours of dolphin and whale watching. I think you would make a lot more money with boat tours, swim tours (with wetsuit) and land based tours. Showing these beings in their natural environment is a better show than herding them into a cove, killing some, keeping others, then putting them in a torture tank until they die. DO TOURS! Also, if you want a Public Relations BOOM and LOTS and LOTS of good business, TELL THE WORLD TAIJI HAS CHANGED and will now conduct Tours instead of killing and trapping dolphins! Take people to see them.
